Jackson Gore Heat Pump Thermostat Replacement Project Recieves Overwhelming Approval
At a special Owner meeting on Saturday, October 25, owners overwhelmingly approved the replacement of all 309 thermostats and 309 heat pumps in residential units of the Jackson Gore campus due to a growing failure rate and inefficiencies of the existing units resulting mainly from age. The existing heat pumps were installed in the early 2000s, with the completion of Jackson Gore Inn, Adams and Bixby Houses. The thermostats are slightly newer but still dated with older technology. Total cost of the project is $1,992 million which will be funded entirely through Association reserves and paid out roughly in eight installments starting in November 2025 and extending through April 2029. No special assessment is projected.
