The Adams and Bixby House Hot Tub renovation project approved at the June, 2024 Board meeting is well underway. Expected completion is mid/late October, well before the arrival of ski season. In order to minimize the amount of time the hot tubs would be closed and because of the nature of the renovations, the project was divided into two phases. The first phase involved the virtual complete refinishing of the tubs, tiles and surrounding terrace and is now complete. The tubs were then filled with cold water and will run for a week to allow proper sealing. This will be completed by around October 7 at which time the waters will be heated so you can start to enjoy the tubs again.
The second phase will involve mechanical renovations such as the replacement of pumps, chemical controllers, and circulators, etc., some of which may involve additional closures for very brief periods of time, if at all. We will do our best to avoid any additional closures. This second phase should be completed in October in plenty of time for the upcoming winter season.
The contractors for the project are Green Mountain Pool Plasterers and Clearwater Water Industries. The approved not to exceed costs are $135,000 for Adams and $90,000 for Bixby.
